General questions

What does Saudi Express do?

We ship furniture, belongings and goods from Saudi cities abroad by road, sea and air, move furniture within and between cities, ship cars, move belongings from the UAE to Saudi Arabia, provide pickups and small trucks for small moves, and buy used furniture in Riyadh and Jeddah.

Which countries do you ship to?

By road to the UAE, Kuwait, Qatar, Bahrain, Oman, Jordan, Lebanon, Syria and Iraq, and by sea or air to Turkey, Morocco, Tunisia, Algeria and Libya.

Which cities do you collect from?

From Riyadh, Jeddah, Dammam, Makkah, Madinah, Qassim, Al Ahsa, Tabuk, Jazan and other Saudi cities, from your home or warehouse door.

How do I find out the shipping price?

The price depends on the pickup city, destination, shipment type and size, and the route. Send the details through the quote form or on WhatsApp and you get the price before collection.

Do you move furniture between Saudi cities?

Yes, we move within a city and from one city to another, with dismantling, packing, loading and reassembly at the new home.

Can the car be shipped with the furniture?

Yes, the car and furniture can travel on the same trip to the same destination, with the car’s export papers prepared.

International shipping

Which countries do you ship to from Saudi Arabia?

We ship by road to the UAE, Kuwait, Qatar, Bahrain, Oman, Jordan, Lebanon, Syria and Iraq, and by sea or air to Turkey, Morocco, Tunisia, Algeria and Libya. The Destinations page groups the articles for each country.

Why does shipping to the Gulf and Jordan go by road?

Because these countries are linked to the Kingdom by road and land border crossings, so the truck drives from your city to the address without unloading at a port — which suits most furniture loads.

How are belongings shipped to Turkey and Morocco?

The load is packed into a sea container at Jeddah or Dammam port and shipped to the destination port, where it is cleared and delivered. Small or urgent parcels go by air instead.

When should I choose air freight?

Air freight suits small parcels, documents and items you need quickly; furniture and large volumes are more economical by road or sea.

What paperwork does international shipping need?

Usually a copy of your ID, residence permit or passport and a list of the contents. Some countries ask for extra documents, and we tell you before collection so the shipment is not held up.

Land freight

Which countries can road freight reach from Saudi Arabia?

The UAE, Kuwait, Qatar, Bahrain, Oman, Jordan and Iraq, plus Lebanon and Syria via Jordan.

What is the difference between a full and a shared load?

A full load gives you the whole truck; a shared load travels with other shipments to the same destination, which lowers the price.

Is the shipment opened at the border?

It may be inspected like any shipment, which is why we prepare a numbered contents list to make inspection and re-sealing easy.

Sea freight

When should I choose sea freight over road?

When the destination has no road link to the Kingdom or is far away — Turkey, Morocco, Europe — or when the volume is very large.

What is the difference between a 20 and a 40-foot container?

A 20-foot container usually suits a two- or three-room flat, and a 40-foot one a whole house or villa. We confirm the right size once we know the items.

Can a car go in the container with the furniture?

Yes in many cases; the car is secured inside the container in a way that protects it and the furniture.

Air freight

What is volumetric weight?

A weight calculated from the parcel’s dimensions (length × width × height), used when it is greater than the actual weight — which is why compact packing helps.

Is air freight suitable for furniture?

Usually not, because it is costly for large pieces. Furniture suits road or sea; air is for parcels and urgent items.

Car shipping

How is a car shipped to the Gulf states?

By road on a car carrier that leaves your city and crosses the border to the destination city — the fastest and most economical option for the Gulf states and Jordan.

What documents does car shipping need?

Usually the vehicle registration, the owner’s ID or residence permit and export plates; some countries ask for extra papers, which we tell you about before loading.

Can the car travel with my furniture?

Yes, the car and furniture can be arranged on the same trip to the same destination so they arrive together.

Is the car covered during road transport?

On closed carriers the car rides inside an enclosed box; on open carriers it is secured with dedicated straps. You can choose a closed carrier for new or luxury cars.

Car triptyque issuing

What is a triptyque?

A temporary customs pass book for a car that allows it into another country without import duties, provided it leaves within the validity period.

Do I need a triptyque if I ship the car?

It depends on the country and the shipping type (permanent export or temporary entry). We explain what is needed before loading.

Furniture storage before shipping

Can furniture be stored and then shipped abroad?

How do I know what is in storage?

You receive an inventory of cartons and pieces when they go in, checked against it when they come out.

Which emirates do you collect from?

From Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, Ajman, Ras Al Khaimah, Fujairah and Umm Al Quwain — each emirate has its own article.

How does the shipment cross from the UAE to Saudi Arabia?

By truck through the Ghuwaifat crossing in the UAE and Al Batha in the Kingdom, where inspection and clearance happen, then the truck continues to your city.

Do personal belongings need customs clearance?

Yes, every shipment goes through the crossing procedures, and we prepare the contents list and documents with you before loading so nothing is delayed.

Furniture moving in Saudi Arabia

Do you move furniture from one city to another?

Yes, we move within a city and between Saudi cities such as Riyadh, Jeddah, Makkah, Madinah, Dammam, Taif, Jazan, Abha, Tabuk and more, agreeing the loading day and arrival day with you.

Who takes the furniture apart and puts it back?

The moving crew itself: technicians take apart bedrooms, wardrobes and kitchens, number the parts and reassemble them in the new home.

What sets the price of a move?

The volume, the distance between the homes, the floors and lift access, how many pieces need dismantling and reassembly, and whether you want full packing. After the survey you get the price before moving day.

How are appliances and glass protected?

Appliances, screens, mirrors and glass are wrapped in protective layers and loaded in fixed spots in the vehicle, away from heavy pieces.

Can the move be on a day off or in the evening?

Yes, moves can be arranged on days off or in the evening depending on the crew schedule; booking early is best at month-end and in peak seasons.
