Saudi Express is a moving company in Madinah that moves flats, villas and offices between the city’s districts, from Quba, Al Awali and Al Aziziyah to Shuran, Al Rayah, Al Khalidiyah, Al Jurf and Al Uyun, measuring doors and lifts before dismantling, with a carpenter for bedrooms and kitchens, full packing, a hydraulic lift for high floors, AC and appliance moving, and storage. A move inside Madinah starts from SAR 230 and one room from SAR 280; you book by filling in a short form on our website.

Moves differ by the number and weight of items, the floor and lift, the distance between districts, proximity to the central area and whether some items need the lift. We ask about these before pricing and give an itemised figure that only changes on the day if you add items or services.
If you only need transport, because you dismantled the furniture yourself or will assemble it later, the vehicle-and-crew option starts from SAR 185 and suits simple moves.
Why do we measure doors and lifts before dismantling?
Because the smallest opening on the route decides whether a piece leaves whole, needs dismantling or needs the lift. A wardrobe that leaves the bedroom may not fit the lift, and a sofa that passes the flat door may stick at the stair turn; knowing this in advance prevents hours of trying and scratches.
At the survey we measure the clear door width when fully open, the lift depth and height, and the landing width at the stair turn, then compare them with the large items. What passes safely moves whole; the rest is dismantled or lifted. So the carpenter only dismantles what he must and furniture stays solid.
What makes moving in Madinah different?
Three things: many districts are close to the central area with heavy traffic, visitor seasons increase traffic on main roads, and summers are very hot with dust on some days. Each is part of planning the time and route.
Near the Prophet’s Mosque and the central area traffic is dense and authorities can set limits on when and where trucks stop. When you book we ask what applies around your home, pick a calm hour and send a mid-sized vehicle that parks easily. In visitor seasons such as Ramadan and holidays we suggest booking early and starting in the early morning.
Which Madinah districts do we serve?
- South: Quba, Al Awali, Al Aziziyah, Shuran, Al Usbah, Eastern Harrah.
- North and west: Al Jurf, Al Uyun, Al Manshiyah, Al Rabwah, Sayed Al Shuhada, Al Qiblatain, Urwah, Western Harrah.
- East: King Fahd, Al Rayah, Al Khalidiyah, Al Duwaimah, Al Iskan, Al Saih, Al Fath.
- Near the centre: Al Anabis, Al Manakhah, Al Aghawat, Al Nakhawilah, Bab Al Shami.
- Outskirts: Al Baida, Al Usayfirin, Al Matar, Abyar Ali.
In wide newer districts such as Al Aziziyah, Shuran and Al Rayah the truck usually parks at the door; near the centre streets are narrower and parking scarce, so we use a smaller vehicle or split the move into two trips.
How do we dismantle and assemble bedrooms and kitchens?
Our carpenter labels every panel, keeps fittings in a bag taped to their piece, and packs mirrors and glazed doors on their own. In the new home everything goes back in the same order, starting with bedrooms so they are ready the same day.

Particle board in ready-made bedrooms does not tolerate repeated dismantling, as screw holes widen and weaken, so we dismantle only what will not pass and use new screws of the same size when needed. Kitchen units are disconnected first and the new kitchen wall is measured before removal. After assembly we check doors, drawers and mirrors, fix tall wardrobes to the wall if there are children and hang curtains on request.
How do we protect furniture from Madinah’s heat and dust?
With packing levels suited to each item: sofas in heavy film then fabric, mattresses in sealed bags, wood in blankets and cardboard corners, dishes and glass in small padded boxes, and appliances in their boxes or bubble wrap. We use closed, lined vehicles and never open trucks.

Madinah’s summer heat affects leather, fabric and sensitive devices left in the sun while loading, so we start early, load straight from door to truck and close the truck between batches. On dusty days we wrap items indoors before taking them out. Every box is labelled with its room and contents and counted at loading and unloading.
When do you need the hydraulic lift in Madinah?
When an item will not pass the door, lift or stair landing, or the flat is several storeys up with no elevator. The lift starts from SAR 230 as an add-on and moves the item from the balcony straight to the vehicle.

Before the day we confirm where the lift will stand, that the balcony fits the item and that no cables or trees block the lift, and in managed buildings we request permission for the balcony or service lift in advance.
Which vehicle suits your Madinah move?
Vehicles we use in Madinah:
| Vehicle | Suits | Note |
|---|---|---|
| Small closed vehicle | Single items and a few belongings | Good near the centre |
| Medium closed vehicle | One- to two-bedroom flat | Easy to park on narrow streets |
| Large closed truck | Three bedrooms or more | For wide districts |
| Two trucks | Villa or full floor | Set after survey |
How do we move villas and full floors?
With a plan that starts by surveying every room, the annex and the roof; villas start from SAR 2,325. We split the crew between dismantling, packing and appliances, set the number of trucks and decide on one day or two. Bedrooms come off first at the new home, then the kitchen, then living areas, and heavy items such as marble tables and steel cabinets get their own lifting route with floor protection.
Do you move offices and shops in Madinah?
Yes, after hours or on days off. Workstations come apart with tags showing their section, screens and printers are cushioned, paperwork rides in taped cartons and the office layout you send decides where each item goes.
Moving ACs and appliances
For a split unit our technician recovers the refrigerant into the condenser and plugs the lines; a window unit is removed and wrapped. The fridge is emptied and disconnected a day early, the washer drained, and a single item starts from SAR 140. In the new home the fridge stands for at least two hours before switching on, the washer is checked for leaks and ACs are refitted once openings and power are ready.
How does the move run from request to handover?
- Sizes first: send measurements and photos of large items through the website.
- Survey and measuring: we measure doors, lift and stairs against the items.
- Figure and slot: a broken-down price and an hour that avoids heavy traffic.
- Preparing pieces: only non-passing items taken apart, each wrapped to suit.
- Loading and transport: closed vehicle and a box count.
- At the new address: items placed by room, then beds and wardrobes built.
- Close-out: a box count together and a test of fridge and washer.

Before and after moving day: your part
Before: sort belongings, pack clothes and books, disconnect appliances, book the lift with building management and send us measurements of wardrobe and kitchen spaces in the new home. After arrival: check boxes marked fragile, switch appliances on after the right time and tell us about anything before the crew leaves. Furniture you no longer need can be sold through used furniture buying instead of being moved.
Do you move within the same building or between floors?
Yes, from SAR 230. There is no road journey, but the same care with dismantling, wrapping and protecting the lift and stairs applies. We line the lift walls, cover stair corners and line items up in the order they will enter the new flat; if a piece fits neither the lift nor the stair turn, the lift outside is still the answer, even for one floor.
Terms you will hear from the moving crew
- Clear door width: the space between the door sides when fully open, less than the frame width.
- Governing dimension: the smallest measurement of a piece, which decides whether it passes when tilted.
- Stair landing: the flat area at the stair turn, usually the tightest point.
- Particle board: pressed wood-chip panels that suffer from repeated dismantling and humidity.
- Stretch film: clear elastic film that wraps items and holds drawers and doors.
- Tie-down straps: straps fixing items to the truck wall.
- Inventory check: reviewing the item list at loading and handover.
- Fridge rest time: the hours a fridge stands before switching on after a move.
Common mistakes when moving in Madinah
- Asking for a price without large-item and lift measurements.
- Not booking the lift with building management in advance.
- Choosing midday in summer or peak time near the central area.
- Leaving clothes and small items unpacked until the day.
- Switching the fridge on immediately before the compressor oil settles.
Can furniture be stored in Madinah?
Yes, from SAR 23 per cubic metre a month in a closed store, with goods wrapped, lifted off the floor on boards and listed on a receipt you keep. See furniture storage.
Do you move between Madinah and other cities?
Yes, our enclosed trucks run Madinah routes in both directions with the same carpentry and wrapping. Popular routes include moving from Jeddah to Madinah and moving from Riyadh to Madinah; for moves within Makkah see the moving company in Makkah guide.
