This page is a full introduction to Saudi Express: what we ship, where to, by which method, which cities we collect from, how to order and follow your shipment, and what paperwork you need. If you found us because someone recommended us or you heard our name in the market, everything you need to know before calling is here.
What is Saudi Express International Shipping?
Saudi Express is an international shipping and furniture moving company operating from Saudi Arabia. We collect shipments from homes, shops and warehouses in Saudi cities and deliver them to the receiver’s address in the destination country, with packing, paperwork and clearance. Our official website is www.shipping-sa.com, and our number for calls and WhatsApp is 0560533140.
We work with three kinds of customer: families and individuals moving home or sending things to relatives, residents returning home for good with their furniture and cars, and traders and shops exporting goods to neighbouring countries. Each needs a different approach: a family needs dismantling, packing and reassembly; a returnee needs customs exemption papers; a trader needs a declaration, an invoice and fast clearance.
For us, “Express” means a shipment does not wait without reason. We set the pickup date and the truck or container departure from the first call, check the paperwork before departure rather than at the border, and send you the status at every stage. We do not promise what we do not control, and we tell you plainly when the lowest-cost option is the slowest, and when it is worth paying more to arrive sooner.
Saudi Express services
Saudi Express offers twelve services in two groups: international shipping from the Kingdom to the world, and moving within the Kingdom. Here is a quick look at each one, with details in the sections that follow.
In practice these services connect: a resident leaving for good may need to sell some furniture, store some, and ship the rest with the car to their home country. So you can request more than one service in a single order, and one team coordinates them.
What sets the Saudi Express way of working apart?
Four fixed habits on every shipment set our way of working apart: a clear price before pickup, a paperwork check before departure, a written inventory in front of you, and WhatsApp follow-up until delivery. These are not slogans but steps you can see on pickup day and on arrival day.
- Price before pickup: we work out the volume from photos or a list and agree the price before the team arrives, so there is no different number at the door.
- Paperwork before the border: IDs, lists, invoices and car documents are reviewed in your own city, because fixing a document at the border can hold a shipment for a day.
- Inventory in front of you: every box and piece gets a number and a room name, and the list reaches you before the shipment leaves.
- Follow-up to the door: we update you on departure, crossing and distribution, and call the receiver before arrival.
We are also frank when you choose: if your shipment is small, shared shipping costs less than a full truck; if your destination is far, sea costs less than air; and if the destination country will not accept your car, we tell you before you pay anything.
Commercial shipping for traders and online stores
We ship commercial goods from Saudi cities to the Gulf states, Jordan and other destinations as part loads, full trucks or containers, with the customs declaration, invoice, certificate of origin and clearance. Road cargo to the UAE starts from SAR 14 per kilo in a consolidated shipment.
For a trader two things matter: that the goods arrive at a time that suits the market, and that they do not stop at the border over a document. So we ask for the invoice and packing list before loading, confirm that the importer at destination is registered, and check the rules for special products such as food and electrical appliances. For online stores, we group customers’ orders for one country, ship them in batches and then distribute them.
Land freight to the Gulf, Jordan and the Levant
Land freight is the main way to ship from the Kingdom to the Gulf states, Jordan and Lebanon, in closed trucks that cross the land borders door to door. It is the most suitable option for furniture, cars and goods because the shipment is not unloaded on the way.
Each country has a usual crossing depending on the pickup city; the table below summarizes the main ones:
| Country | Usual land crossing | Note |
|---|---|---|
| UAE | Al Batha → Al Ghuwaifat | route via Al-Ahsa |
| Qatar | Salwa → Abu Samra | the only land border with Qatar |
| Bahrain | King Fahd Causeway | especially from Dammam and Khobar |
| Kuwait | Al Khafji or Al Ruqi | depending on the pickup city |
| Oman | Empty Quarter crossing or via the UAE | depending on the destination in Oman |
| Jordan | Al Haditha or Halat Ammar | Halat Ammar for Tabuk and the north-west |
| Lebanon and Syria | through Jordan, then the Syrian border | we check transit conditions before every shipment |
We run land freight two ways: shared shipping, where you pay only for the space your items take, and full trucks that leave on your chosen date straight to your address. For truck types and cubic-metre pricing, see the land freight page.
Container sea freight
We use sea freight for destinations that road cannot practically reach, such as Turkey, Morocco, Libya, Tunisia, Algeria, Europe, the Americas and Asia, in 20- or 40-foot containers or shared container space. Shipments leave from Jeddah Islamic Port or King Abdulaziz Port in Dammam, depending on the destination and pickup city.
A full container (FCL) suits someone moving a large home or a lot of goods, because it is loaded and sealed in front of them and opened only for clearance. Shared space (LCL) suits medium volumes and is charged by the cubic metre. Either way we handle haulage from your home to the port, the booking and the export declaration, and arrange clearance and delivery with the agent at destination.
Sea transit is longer than road and varies with the shipping line, port and clearance, so we give you an approximate date at booking and update you on sailing and arrival. Details are on the sea freight page.
Air freight for parcels and urgent shipments
Air freight with Saudi Express is available to every country in the world and suits parcels, documents, spare parts, samples and anything that cannot wait. It is charged on actual or volumetric weight, whichever is higher; volumetric weight is length × width × height in centimetres ÷ 6,000.

An example: a 50×40×40 cm box has a volumetric weight of 13.3 kg, so if it really weighs 5 kg it is charged at 13.3. That is why we recommend air for small heavy or valuable things, and road or sea for large light ones. We ship by air from Riyadh, Jeddah and Dammam airports, and from other airports depending on flights. Details are on the air freight page.
When to choose road, sea or air freight?
Choose road if the country is linked to the Kingdom by land and you are shipping furniture, a car or goods; sea if the destination is far, the shipment is large and not urgent; and air if the shipment is small and needed within days. This table sums up the difference:
| Comparison | Road | Sea | Air |
|---|---|---|---|
| Destinations | the Gulf, Jordan, the Levant and Iraq | Turkey, North Africa and the rest of the world | every country |
| Suits | furniture, cars and goods | large homes and commercial containers | parcels, documents and urgent items |
| Charged by | cubic metre or truck | container or cubic metre | actual or volumetric weight |
| Speed | a few days to the Gulf and Jordan | longer, depending on line and port | fastest |
Many shipments combine two methods: a family ships its furniture by road or sea and sends a bag of first-week essentials by air, so it does not have to wait for the furniture to start life in the new country.
Car shipping and triptyque
We ship cars from Saudi cities on open or enclosed carriers to the UAE, Kuwait, Qatar, Bahrain, Oman and Jordan, and in containers to sea destinations, with the Saudi export paperwork. Shipping a car to the UAE starts from SAR 1,850 and to Jordan from SAR 2,300.

Before shipping any car we check two things: that its Saudi papers are in order (a valid registration, no fines or impound, and an authorization if the shipper is not the owner), and that the destination country accepts it. Every country has its rules: a used car can be registered in the UAE only if it is 10 years old or less, Qatar requires light vehicles to be no more than 5 years old, and Jordan bans salvage cars and electric cars over three years old. We explain these rules before you book, not after the car arrives.
If you will drive your own car into a neighbouring country temporarily, you may need a customs pass book (triptyque), a document that lets the car in without import duty provided it leaves within its validity. We help you prepare it through our triptyque issuing service, and shipping details are on the car shipping page.
International furniture shipping and moving within the Kingdom
We ship household furniture from Saudi cities to your home abroad with dismantling, packing, inventory, shipping and reassembly, and we move furniture within cities and between cities inside the Kingdom in closed vehicles sized to the load. Both services rest on the same basics: packing each piece according to its material, and a clear list of everything that moves.

In international shipping the inventory matters more because customs asks for it, and packing matters more because the road is longer. A resident returning home usually benefits from a customs exemption for used personal effects, so we help prepare those papers. For moves within the Kingdom the focus is speed and organizing the day so the whole home moves in one go.
For details, see the international furniture shipping page and the furniture moving in Saudi Arabia page.
Furniture storage before shipping
We store furniture and belongings packed and listed in closed warehouses until the shipping date or until your new home is ready, then ship or move them straight from the warehouse. This solves a common problem: having to vacate your home before your travel date or before you get the new one.

Belongings are stored under the same inventory written on packing day, so nothing needs re-listing at shipping time. You can add items later or take something out before shipping by arrangement with us. Details are on the furniture storage before shipping page.
Shipping from the UAE to Saudi Arabia
We also ship the other way: from Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, Ajman, Ras Al Khaimah, Fujairah and Umm Al Quwain to Saudi cities by road through Al Ghuwaifat and Al Batha, with packing, Saudi customs clearance and delivery to the address.
This service suits Saudis returning from the UAE with their furniture, residents moving to work in the Kingdom, and traders importing goods from the UAE. The paperwork is different here: Saudi customs exempts the personal effects and used furniture of returning citizens and first-time residents under conditions, and the exemption does not cover cars. Details are on the shipping from the UAE to Saudi Arabia page.
Countries Saudi Express ships to
Saudi Express ships to every country in the world by road, sea and air, and the most requested destinations are the Gulf states, Jordan, the Levant, Turkey and North Africa. The method depends on the country: road where there is a land connection to the Kingdom, sea for distant destinations, and air for urgent shipments anywhere.
| Region | Example countries | Usual method |
|---|---|---|
| The Gulf | UAE, Kuwait, Qatar, Bahrain, Oman | road in closed trucks |
| Jordan and the Levant | Jordan, Lebanon, Syria | road, and sea when needed |
| Iraq | Baghdad, Basra, Erbil and others | road |
| Turkey | Istanbul, Mersin, Iskenderun and others | container sea freight, and air |
| North Africa | Morocco, Libya, Tunisia, Algeria | container sea freight, and air |
| The rest of the world | Europe, the Americas, Asia, Africa | sea and air |
Each of the most requested countries has a page explaining its route, paperwork and what cars and furniture it accepts, such as shipping to the UAE, shipping to Jordan, shipping to Turkey and shipping to Morocco. The full list is on the shipping destinations page.
If your destination is not in the lists, that does not mean we do not ship there. Call us with the country and city and we will arrange the right method.
Cities we collect from inside the Kingdom
We collect shipments from every region of the Kingdom, most often Riyadh, Jeddah, Dammam, Khobar, Makkah, Madinah, Qassim, Al-Ahsa, Tabuk, Taif, Abha, Khamis Mushait, Jazan, Hail and Al Jouf. Pickup is direct from the home, shop or warehouse.
The pickup city sometimes decides the route: shipments from Riyadh and the Eastern Province to the UAE pass through Al-Ahsa and Al Batha, from Tabuk to Jordan they cross Halat Ammar directly, and from Jeddah and Makkah sea containers leave from Jeddah Islamic Port. That is why we always ask for your city and district before setting the price and transit time.
Saudi Express prices
Saudi Express prices start from SAR 140 for a parcel to the UAE, SAR 1,100 for a bedroom set to the UAE, SAR 1,850 for a car to the UAE and SAR 2,300 for a car to Jordan. The final price of each shipment depends on its volume, type, pickup city and destination country.
These are starting prices for the most requested services; prices for other routes are in each route’s article:
| Service | Details | Starts from (SAR) |
|---|---|---|
| Parcels and boxes to the UAE | shared road shipping | 140 |
| Bedroom set to the UAE | dismantling, packing, transport and reassembly | 1,100 |
| Car to the UAE | car carrier with export paperwork | 1,850 |
| Car to Jordan | car carrier from Riyadh or Jeddah | 2,300 |
| Commercial road cargo to the UAE | per kilo in a consolidated shipment | 14 |
| Air freight to the UAE | per kilo, actual or volumetric weight | 46 |
| Sea container | to Turkey, North Africa and elsewhere | Ask for the price by call or WhatsApp |
| Moving within the Kingdom | within a city or between cities | Ask for the price by call or WhatsApp |
| Furniture storage | by volume and duration | Ask for the price by call or WhatsApp |
Three things lower the price in most cases: accepting shared shipping instead of a full truck or container, sorting your belongings before shipping so you do not pay for what you do not need, and booking early before peak seasons. You can request a price from the get a quote page or directly on WhatsApp.
How to order a shipment from Saudi Express
You can order in one of three ways: a call to 0560533140, a WhatsApp message to the same number, or the quote form on the website. After that, the shipment goes through six stages to delivery.
- Request: give the pickup city and district, the destination country and city, and the type and rough size of the shipment.
- Pricing: photos or a written list are enough for a price, a method and a date.
- Paperwork: we ask for the papers suited to the shipment type and check them before pickup.
- Pickup: the crew comes at the agreed hour to take apart, wrap and label everything, listing it as they go.
- Shipping and clearance: the shipment moves and we follow clearance at the border, port or airport.
- Delivery: the receiver gets a call ahead of time, then the goods are handed over and reassembled where needed.
What speeds up an order most is sending clear photos of large pieces, saying whether you need dismantling, reassembly or storage, and giving us a receiver’s number at destination that will answer.
Tracking your shipment with Saudi Express
You follow your shipment with Saudi Express using your order or shipment number and your mobile number, and the follow-up team sends the latest status on WhatsApp. We also send updates without being asked at the key stages: departure, arrival at the border, port or airport, clearance and distribution.

You can also use the track a shipment page on the website: enter your shipment number and mobile and the reply comes on WhatsApp. If the delivery address or date changes on the way, tell us early so we can arrange distribution.
Required documents by shipment type
The paperwork depends on the shipment type and the country, but the basis is the same: the sender’s ID, the receiver’s details and a contents list. Each type then adds its own.
| Shipment type | Main documents |
|---|---|
| Furniture and personal effects | ID or iqama, the receiver’s passport and residence at destination, a detailed contents list, a clearance authorization |
| Final return of a resident | proof of residence abroad and its end, a packing list, the exemption papers your country asks for |
| Commercial goods | CR certificate, sales invoice, packing list, origin certificate, a registered consignee abroad |
| Car | the istimara, the owner’s ID, an authorization if you are not the owner, and the export papers for a final export |
| Air parcel | sender’s ID, the receiver’s name, number and address, a description and value of the contents |
Any difference between the contents list and what is actually in the shipment delays it at customs and may lead to a fine. Write the list accurately, and do not mix commercial goods with personal effects.
Prohibited items in international shipping
We do not ship flammable materials, gas cylinders, fireworks, weapons, ammunition, narcotics or counterfeit currency, and large quantities of medicine, drones, radio equipment, plants and commercial food products need permits depending on the country.
Each country has its own extra list; some ban certain types of cars, devices or food products. We tell you what applies to your destination when you book, and you can ask us about any item before packing it.
How to be sure you are dealing with Saudi Express
You are dealing with us if the number is 0560533140 and the website is www.shipping-sa.com. That is our only number for calls and WhatsApp, and any other number using a name similar to ours does not represent us.
Shipping company names in the market look alike, and search results may show names close to “Saudi Express” belonging to businesses unconnected with us. So if someone recommended us, or you heard our name from a past customer, check the number before sending any details or paying anything. At pickup our team arrives after prior contact on the same number and writes the inventory in front of you.
- Our only number: 0560533140 (calls and WhatsApp).
- Official website: www.shipping-sa.com.
- The price is agreed before pickup, and no payment is asked without a clear agreement.
- The inventory reaches you on WhatsApp before the shipment leaves.
