Jubail town or Jubail Industrial City?
Jubail is really two neighbouring cities: Jubail town, the old city on the coast, and Jubail Industrial City, the modern city built around the plants, with planned residential districts and employee housing. Our first question is which one you are moving to, because the districts and access are quite different.
Jubail Industrial City’s districts are wide and orderly, with gated compounds, such as Al Fayha, Al Firdaws, Taibah, Al Huwailat, Al Andalus, Jalmudah, Al Shati, Al Lulu, Al Khaleej, Al Mutrafiyah and Darin. Jubail town has older homes and districts such as Al Hamra, with some narrower streets. We plan the move around your exact destination.
How much does furniture moving from Dammam to Jubail cost?
Moving furniture from Dammam to Jubail starts from SAR 460 for a studio or one-room flat, SAR 740 for a three-room flat and SAR 1,400 for a two-storey villa. The final price depends on volume, floors and extra services.
Starting prices between Dammam and Jubail:
| Service | Details | From (SAR) |
|---|---|---|
| Studio or one-room flat | Small closed vehicle | 460 |
| Three-room flat | Medium closed vehicle | 740 |
| Two-storey villa | Large truck and bigger crew | 1400 |
| Office or company furniture | Depends on desks and equipment | Price on request via call or WhatsApp |
| AC removal and installation | Technician recovers the gas | Price on request via call or WhatsApp |
| Furniture lift for upper floors | When needed and the building allows | Price on request via call or WhatsApp |
The road is relatively short, so the price is driven mostly by the work at both homes: how many pieces need dismantling, floors and lifts, and any waiting at compound gates. We ask for photos and these details, then give you a clear figure.
How long does a move from Dammam to Jubail take?
A loaded vehicle covers the road in 1 to 1.25 hours; loading in Dammam takes 30 minutes to an hour for a small flat, and unloading in Jubail about the same. A medium flat is therefore usually done in 3 to 4 hours, and villas within one working day.
How the time splits for a medium flat:
| Stage | Place | Approximate time |
|---|---|---|
| Dismantling and loading | Dammam | 1 to 1.5 hours |
| The road | Dammam – Jubail | 1 to 1.25 hours |
| Unloading | Jubail | 30 to 60 minutes |
| Assembly and setup | New home | About an hour |
Company housing and compounds: entry permits
Many Jubail Industrial City residents live in compounds or employer housing that moving vehicles can only enter with a permit or prior registration. If your new home is one of these, ask the housing management for a permit for the moving vehicle and crew before moving day, and send us the details they need, such as the plate number and workers’ names.
Requirements differ between employers and can change, so we confirm them with you on the booking day. Arranging this in advance stops the vehicle waiting at the gate for an hour or more, which often happens when it is left to the last minute.

Is an open truck enough for a short distance?
Some assume an hour on the road does not need a closed vehicle, but the road to Jubail runs along an open coast, and humidity, dust and sun affect fabric sofas, mattresses and wood even in an hour. We use closed vehicles for every intercity move and size them to the load.
A closed vehicle also stops light items such as cushions and small boxes being blown off on the road, a common problem with open trucks. The cost difference between open and closed is small compared with the value it protects.
Packing suited to a short route
This route does not need the heavy packing of thousand-kilometre roads, but some things are always wrapped: glass, mirrors, screens, glossy surfaces and sharp furniture corners. Drawers and doors are taped shut so they do not swing open while carried, and small electronics go into bubble wrap then boxes.
- Cardboard on table and wardrobe corners.
- Tape holding drawers and doors closed.
- Bubble wrap for small appliances and screens.
- Separate boxes for glass and mirrors.
- Protective bags for mattresses and pillows.
Moving furniture for employees and singles
Jubail is a working city, and many people moving there are new employees at the plants and companies, some alone and some with families. A single employee usually moves a bedroom, a small fridge, a washer and a few boxes, which fits a small closed vehicle, or our small moves service if there is very little.
Families move a whole home, often from a flat in Dammam to larger housing in the industrial city. Either way, we schedule around working hours; many employees prefer the weekend or late afternoon when the road is lighter.
Moving offices and small companies
We also move offices and small companies between Dammam and Jubail: desks, chairs, filing cabinets, computers and printers. Each item is numbered by department, files go into sealed boxes, and equipment is disconnected and packed in padded cases.
To limit downtime we suggest moving over the weekend so staff find their desks ready on the first working day. If the new building is in an industrial area that needs a permit, we arrange it with you in advance.
Jubail districts we deliver to
We deliver to Jubail Industrial City districts: Al Fayha, Al Firdaws, Taibah, Al Huwailat, Al Andalus, Jalmudah, Al Shati, Al Lulu, Al Khaleej, Al Mutrafiyah and Darin, and to Jubail town districts such as Al Hamra. We collect from every district of Dammam and its surroundings, including Al Khobar, Dhahran and Qatif.

Dismantling, assembly and appliances
Our carpenter dismantles beds and wardrobes in Dammam and reassembles them in Jubail the same day, with numbered panels and bagged screws. Large appliances travel upright and strapped, the washer drum is locked before loading, and the fridge stands for a few hours before switching on.
A technician removes air conditioners after recovering the gas and reinstalls them; in Jubail’s hot, humid climate, getting the bedroom AC running on arrival day is essential. We arrange the technician with the crew on request.
Temporary storage and optional insurance
If your Jubail accommodation has not been handed over yet, your belongings stay in a sealed warehouse and are delivered once the keys are yours. Details are on the furniture storage page. Optional insurance on valuable items can be arranged before loading, priced on their value.
Jubail compared with other short Eastern Province routes
People moving within the Eastern Province often ask whether Jubail is far like Al-Ahsa or close like Al Khobar. The table below sets the short routes from Dammam side by side so you can see where your move sits:
Rough comparison of Eastern Province routes from Dammam:
| Destination | Approximate distance | Nature of the move |
|---|---|---|
| Al Khobar | 20 to 30 km | Closer to a move within one city |
| Qatif | 25 to 35 km | Short, with narrow old quarters |
| Jubail | 85 to 95 km | An hour’s drive and permit-controlled compounds |
| Al-Ahsa | 145 to 190 km | About two hours, with farming villages |
Jubail sits in the middle: too far to treat as a local errand, too close to need long-haul packing. What really sets it apart is the housing, so most of the planning goes into permits and entry hours rather than the road.
Salty coastal air and metal furniture
Jubail is right on the sea, and its air is humid and salty, which affects metal pieces such as table legs, metal chairs, gym equipment and garden furniture. We clean and dry these before wrapping and do not leave them sealed in film for days after arrival.
After unwrapping in the new home, wipe electronics and metal items with a dry cloth and air the rooms before running the AC for the first time. Simple habits like these lengthen the life of furniture on the coast.
Newlyweds’ furniture and new pieces still in their boxes
Some newlyweds buy furniture from Dammam showrooms and want it taken to their Jubail home still in factory cartons. That is lighter than moving a used household, but original cartons are not always strong enough, so we add corner guards and arrange them so heavy boxes never press on light ones.
If you want the new furniture assembled on arrival, tell us beforehand, because building a new bedroom set from scratch takes longer than reassembling a dismantled one. We keep the screw bags and instruction leaflets with each piece.
