Two roads to Taif: which one does the removal truck take?
Two main roads link Jazan and Taif, each with its own character. One runs north along the coast to the Makkah area and then climbs to Taif from the west; the other climbs straight into the Asir highlands and passes Abha and Al Baha along the Sarawat peaks before reaching Taif from the south.

Can trucks use the mountain passes?

💡 What pushes the price up in Taif?
Not only the road but the house location: a hillside villa in Al Shafa on a narrow lane may need a support dyna, and a walk-up building in the city centre may need a hoist. Send photos of the road to the house and the entrance for an accurate price.
Taif’s cold and coastal furniture
Taif is a high mountain city with cold winters, nights that can approach freezing in Al Shafa and Al Hada, and relatively mild summers, very different from Jazan’s year-round warmth. Furniture moving from coast to mountain goes through a change in both temperature and humidity.
So we wrap solid wood in thick blankets to soften the temperature change, add an extra layer to electronics on winter trips, and warn you not to switch the fridge on as soon as it arrives; it needs to stand for hours after a long road with a climb.
Once settled, you may find some wooden doors close more easily or bed joints need a light tightening, which is normal in the first weeks. We tighten screws firmly at assembly and suggest checking them later.

Moving into a home in Al Shafa or Al Hada needs special planning, because roads there wind and some are narrow, and houses may sit on slopes. The large truck may not reach the door, so we park it at the nearest safe point and shuttle the furniture in batches by small dyna.
Fog and rain in some seasons also make us prefer daytime delivery, and we pause work if visibility is poor. These details add time but protect furniture and crew alike.
Moving to Taif for work or study
Taif draws many employees, service members and students joining Taif University; some move a whole home and some a single room. A small load does not need a large truck on a long mountain road, so we use a closed dyna that climbs the passes more easily and costs less.
