How much does furniture moving from Dammam to Madinah cost?
Moving furniture from Dammam to Madinah starts from SAR 700 for a small flat with standard furniture, SAR 1,100 for a three-bedroom flat and SAR 3,700 for large villas. These are starting points; the final figure is based on photos of the rooms, the district and the floors in both cities.
Starting prices for each category on this route:
| Service | Details | From (SAR) |
|---|---|---|
| Small flat | One or two rooms with living room | 700 |
| Medium flat | Three bedrooms, kitchen and majlis | 1100 |
| Large villa | Large truck and bigger crew | 3700 |
| Shuttle vehicle for narrow streets | Runs from the truck to your door | Call or WhatsApp us for its price |
| Special packing for valuables | Wooden or padded crates | Call or WhatsApp us for its price |
| Temporary storage | Until you receive your Madinah home | Call or WhatsApp us for its price |
What changes the price most on this route is access to the Madinah home: wide districts let the truck park at the door, while districts near the Haram or with narrow streets may need a smaller vehicle to shuttle the furniture. The number of large pieces, your floor and whether there is a lift also matter.
Distance between Dammam and Madinah and the road the truck takes
Dammam and Madinah are roughly 1,300 km apart. The usual truck route takes the highway to Riyadh, heads north-west to Qassim and continues from there to Madinah. A loaded truck needs 13 to 15 hours of driving, depending on load and stops.
Approximate stages of the road from Dammam to Madinah:
| Stage | From – to | Note |
|---|---|---|
| Stage one | Dammam – Riyadh | About 400 km on the highway |
| Stage two | Riyadh – Qassim | About 330 km; a good rest stop |
| Stage three | Qassim – Madinah | The final leg into the Hijaz |
One day or two?
Most moves to Madinah take two days, because the driving alone is close to a full working day, and adding dismantling and loading in Dammam plus assembly in Madinah would make a single day exhausting and unsafe. On day one we load and set off, the driver rests on the way, and on day two we arrive and assemble in daylight.
If you have only a few things, such as a student’s or single employee’s room, loading is quick and arrival can be the next morning. We agree the schedule by the hour so you know when to be home to receive the truck.
A preparation timetable before moving day
Plan your preparation with this simple timetable:
| When | What to do | Why |
|---|---|---|
| A week before | Sort your things and get rid of what you do not need | Less volume, lower price |
| 3 days before | Pack books and clothes you are not using | Saves crew time on loading day |
| The day before | Unplug and dry the fridge, pack a personal bag | No water leaking onto boxes |
| Moving day | Be present, or send someone, during loading | To check the list and identify items |
This timetable is optional; you can leave all the packing to our crew. But preparing early shortens loading day and lets you decide yourself what is moving and what is staying or being sold.

From humid Dammam to dry Madinah: how we pack
Dammam air is humid for most of the year, while Madinah is much drier, hot in summer and cold at night in winter. That difference affects wood and leather, so we make sure pieces are dry before wrapping and do not keep wooden furniture sealed in tight film for long after arrival.
We use bubble wrap for glossy surfaces, rigid cardboard on corners, blankets between pieces in the truck, and mattress bags that keep dust out. After unloading in Madinah we remove the covers from wooden furniture the same day so it adjusts gradually to the new home.
Delivering near the central area and truck entry times
The area around the Prophet’s Mosque is busy all year, and movement of large vehicles there follows special rules that differ between normal days and visiting seasons. If your home is near the central area we confirm the requirements on the booking day, and may park the large truck outside the busy zone and use a smaller vehicle.
Madinah districts we deliver to
We deliver to every district of Madinah. Districts we move to often include Al Aziziyah, Quba, Qurban, Al Harrah Al Sharqiyah, Al Harrah Al Gharbiyah, Abyar Ali, Al Uyun, Al Difa, Shuran, Bani Harithah, Al Awali and Wadi Al Aqiq.
Newer districts on the city’s edges have wide streets and modern buildings with suitable lifts; some older districts have narrower streets and smaller entrances. We ask where the home is before the date, and request a photo of the entrance if in doubt, so we bring the right vehicle and equipment.
Closed dyna or large truck?
The vehicle depends on the volume of furniture, and on a road this long we use only closed vehicles. A closed dyna suits a small flat or a student’s room, a medium truck a family flat, and a large truck villas and homes with spacious majlis rooms.
Moving furniture for students and transferred employees
Madinah attracts students at its universities and employees transferred to jobs there. They usually move a room or two of furniture and a few appliances and do not need a large truck. For them we arrange a small load in a closed dyna, or suggest our small moves service if it fits better.
In these cases we pay special attention to packing electronics and books, which are often a student’s or employee’s most important belongings. Books go into small boxes so they are not too heavy, computers and screens into padded cases, and every box is labelled with its contents.
Dismantling, assembly and appliances
Our carpenter dismantles beds, wardrobes and bookcases in Dammam, numbers the panels and bags the screws by room, then reassembles them in Madinah. Large appliances travel upright and strapped, the washer drum is locked before loading, and the fridge is left to stand for a few hours after arrival before switching on.
Air conditioners need a technician to recover the gas before removal and to reinstall and test them in the new home. We arrange this on request and ask in advance where the units will go in Madinah so we know what pipes and brackets are needed.

What the price covers and what is charged separately
To avoid confusion on the day, we explain before booking what the agreed price includes. The base price for a flat usually covers the closed truck and driver, loading and unloading crew, standard packing with film and blankets, dismantling and reassembling beds and wardrobes, and placing items in the rooms of the new home.
What is charged separately is what varies from home to home: AC removal and installation with a technician, kitchen dismantling and fitting, wooden crates for antiques, a hoist for upper floors, a shuttle vehicle for narrow streets, and temporary storage. We list these in one message before loading so you know in advance what you will pay.
Can part of the furniture be dropped in Qassim on the way?
The road to Madinah passes through Qassim, so some customers ask us to drop part of their things with family in Buraidah or Unaizah and continue with the rest to Madinah. This is possible if agreed before loading, because the Qassim items must be loaded last so they come off without moving the rest of the load.
The extra stop adds time to the trip and may add to the price depending on the volume dropped and the distance from the main road; we work it out with you clearly before booking. Qassim boxes get a different mark so they do not mix with the Madinah ones.
Protecting furniture from desert road dust
A large part of the road between Dammam and Madinah crosses open desert, and on some days the wind raises dust. The closed truck keeps most of it out, but fine dust can creep through small gaps, so we cover fabric sofas and mattresses in sealed bags and wrap electronics well.
When unloading in Madinah we shake the covers out outside before carrying pieces in, so dust does not reach the clean rooms. A simple step, but it keeps your new home clean from day one.
Temporary storage and optional insurance
If your Madinah home is not ready when you leave Dammam, your furniture waits in a closed store and is delivered once you receive the home. Details are on the furniture storage page; cost depends on volume and duration.
Optional insurance on your belongings can be arranged before loading, with a written list of items and their condition; the premium is based on the value you want insured.
