Do you reach the villages around Al-Mudhaylif?
Yes. We choose the vehicle by the road: a medium dyna for side roads and dirt tracks, a box truck where the road is paved to the door.
Al-Mudhaylif is a centre of Al-Qunfudhah governorate in Tihama, about 45 km north of Al-Qunfudhah, with more than ninety villages spread between the sea and the mountains. A move here may be between two houses in town, from a village in Wadi Qarma to a new house near the market, or from a remote settlement to Jeddah. Villages we serve include Qarma, Al-Halifa, Al-Dawaya, Al-Sir, Al-Nayla, Al-Uqda, Al-Awdat and Al-Qadab. If yours is not listed, send the map pin.
How much does moving cost in Al-Mudhaylif?
A two- or three-room apartment starts from SAR 325, a whole house from SAR 830 and a move to Jeddah from SAR 1,390; the village and the road to it affect the cost.
Starting prices for the main services:
| Service | Details | Starts from (SAR) |
|---|---|---|
| 2–3 room apartment | Dismantling, assembly, fragile packing, closed vehicle | 325 |
| Traditional house or villa | Full crew, carpenter, sorting and full packing | 830 |
| Al-Mudhaylif to Jeddah | Box truck with long-distance packing | 1,390 |
| Al-Mudhaylif – Al-Qunfudhah | Depends on volume and village | Ask on inspection |
| Furniture lift | Large pieces and upper floors | Ask on inspection |
| A few items | Dabab, wanet or small dyna | Ask on inspection |
Here the road can matter more than the number of rooms. A house on a paved street in town takes hours; a village house on a dirt track may need two vehicles, a dyna to the main road and a truck from there.
How we move a traditional courtyard house
In stages: we sort with you what goes and what stays, pack bedrooms and majlis, then gather courtyard and outdoor-kitchen items in a separate vehicle.
Many homes here are spacious houses with courtyards and storerooms holding years of belongings: farm tools, large cooking pots for occasions, extra guest bedding. Sorting comes first, because moving what you do not need costs space, time and money. Courtyard items carry dust and soot, so they never travel next to sofas and mattresses. If you have old furniture you will not take, see used furniture buying.
Packing for Al-Mudhaylif’s conditions
We pack against dust on village roads and humidity from the nearby sea: clean covers then stretch wrap on fabric sofas, fabric and corner guards on wood, and small, light boxes for plates and glass so their bottoms do not give way.

Dismantling and assembly
A carpenter on the crew dismantles bedrooms, wardrobes and bookcases and refits them, included in apartment and house prices. Complex pieces are photographed before dismantling and screws are bagged by number, which keeps assembly fast even after days in storage. In the new home we confirm each room before assembling, then fit beds first, then wardrobes and dressers.

Vehicles we use in Al-Mudhaylif
The road decides before the load:
| Vehicle | Suits | Road |
|---|---|---|
| Dabab or wanet | A few items or boxes | Almost any road, even narrow |
| Medium closed dyna | Apartment, small house or village shuttle | Side roads and dirt tracks |
| Large box truck | Whole house or Jeddah and Makkah moves | Paved road to the door |
For a few items only, small moves explains the lighter options.
Furniture lift
Rarely needed, as most houses have one or two floors, but available for newer multi-storey blocks and for corner sofas, non-dismantlable wardrobes, heavy classic bedrooms and double-door fridges. It is priced on inspection.

Moving to Al-Qunfudhah, Jeddah and Makkah
We move south to Al-Qunfudhah, north to Jeddah and Makkah, and to any other city; Jeddah starts from SAR 1,390. Al-Mudhaylif lies between Al-Qunfudhah and Duqa with the sea to the west, on the coastal road towards Jeddah. We load early, strap row by row and usually arrive the same day. See Moving Company in Al-Qunfudhah and Moving Company in Jeddah, and for Al-Baha Moving Company in Al-Baha.
Appliances, ACs and freezers
Village homes often have large chest freezers for provisions; these need emptying and switching off a day or two ahead so ice melts and dries. They are carried with moving straps. Window ACs are removed and the wall openings covered temporarily on request.
Storage when moving from Al-Mudhaylif
Yes, we offer short-term storage in a closed warehouse for people who hand over their old home before the new one is ready, priced by volume and period. It suits anyone building a new house in the village or town who must vacate before the finishing works end. Furniture is stored under breathable fabric covers on raised boards and returned and assembled, usually in a single day. Keep a written list and photos of large pieces, and never store food or liquids in boxes. See furniture storage.
What affects the cost in Al-Mudhaylif and its villages?
Four things: the road to the house, the volume, how many pieces need dismantling and the distance to the new home. A paved street lets the truck stop at the door; a dirt or narrow track needs a smaller vehicle or staged trips. Two houses with the same number of rooms can differ widely if one has full storerooms. You can cut the cost by packing small boxes yourself, clearing out what you will not move, keeping the approach to the door free of cars and deciding each room in the new home in advance.
Moving shops near the Al-Mudhaylif market
We move small shops and offices: shelving, display fridges, counters and desks, outside selling hours. For shops near the weekly market we suggest a day other than Sunday or an evening after closing. Metal shelving is dismantled with its bolts bundled, display fridges are emptied and switched off hours ahead, and glass is bubble-wrapped and boarded. Pricing follows a look at the shop’s contents.
Steps of your move
- Call and send the map pin, room photos and a photo of the road if unpaved.
- We choose the vehicle and send the price with included services.
- On the day we sort with you if needed, then dismantle and pack.
- Room furniture goes in one vehicle, courtyard items separately.
- We unload room by room, assemble beds and wardrobes and set the majlis.
- You check every piece before the crew leaves.

Tips before moving
Sunday is the weekly market day in Al-Mudhaylif, so expect morning traffic around the market; we can adjust the route or loading time. For the general service see furniture moving.
