Saudi Express ships from Tabuk to the UAE by road in closed trucks that run from Tabuk down to Riyadh, on to Al-Ahsa and across the Al Batha crossing to Al Ghuwaifat. The service covers personal belongings, furniture, cars, commercial goods and parcels, with pickup at your door, customs clearance on both sides and delivery in any emirate. A road shipment usually arrives in 5 to 8 days, urgent parcels go faster by air, shipping starts from SAR 140 per parcel, and car shipping starts from SAR 3,540. To book or ask, call or WhatsApp 0560533140.
- Distance: more than 2,000 km by road from Tabuk to Dubai, via Riyadh and Al-Ahsa
- Crossing: Al Batha on the Saudi side, Al Ghuwaifat on the UAE side
- Transit time: 5–8 days by road, 6–9 days for a car
- Prices: parcels from SAR 140, part loads from 745, cars from 3,540
- Cars: the UAE registers used cars up to 10 years from the year of manufacture
- Pickup: every district of Tabuk plus Tayma, Duba, Al Wajh, Umluj, Haql and Al Bad
Tabuk is further from the UAE than any other major Saudi city, and that changes how a shipment is planned. The truck crosses the Kingdom from its north-west corner to its east, and there is no shortcut that avoids Riyadh and Al-Ahsa. So we plan Tabuk departures more carefully: UAE-bound shipments are grouped on a fixed departure, the load is arranged so the truck is opened only at the border and at delivery, and you get a clear update at each stage instead of wondering where your things are.
Shipping prices from Tabuk to the UAE
Shipping prices from Tabuk to the UAE start from SAR 140 for a small parcel, SAR 745 for a part load, SAR 3,250 for a full apartment and SAR 3,540 for a small car. These are starting prices; your final price is set once we know the volume, the type of shipment and the emirate it is going to.
The table below lists the most requested services from Tabuk to the UAE with their starting prices:
| Service | Details | Starts from (SAR) |
|---|---|---|
| Small parcel or shared shipment | a box, bag or parcel grouped with other shipments | 140 |
| Boxes and personal belongings | clothes, household items and books in sealed boxes | 420 |
| Part load | part of a truck for several pieces or shop goods | 745 |
| Bedroom or majlis set | dismantling, packing, transport and reassembly | 1,860 |
| Full apartment | inventory, packing, loading, shipping and delivery | 3,250 |
| Small car | car carrier with export paperwork | 3,540 |
| Urgent air freight | parcels, documents and small items | Ask for the price by call or WhatsApp |
| Large commercial cargo | a full truck or more | Ask for the price by call or WhatsApp |
What makes the price go up or down?
Volume in cubic metres matters more than weight alone; a light sofa takes more space than a heavy box of books. Next comes the type of shipment: commercial goods need a customs declaration and an invoice, a car needs a dedicated carrier, and furniture needs dismantling and packing. Then the destination emirate, since delivering to Fujairah or Ras Al Khaimah adds distance compared with Abu Dhabi or Dubai, which are closer to the border. Finally, extra services such as storage before shipping or reassembly in the new home.
The price drops noticeably if you accept shared (groupage) shipping, where your items travel with other UAE-bound shipments on the same truck instead of booking a whole truck for a few pieces. It also helps to pack your boxes before pickup and tell us how many there are, so we reserve the right amount of space.
Send us photos of the large pieces, a rough box count, and the emirate and area on WhatsApp. We work out the volume and give you the final price before pickup instead of estimating it at the door.
How long does shipping from Tabuk to the UAE take?
Road shipping from Tabuk to the UAE takes 5 to 8 days for most shipments: about two days on the road inside the Kingdom to Al-Ahsa, then the Al Batha and Al Ghuwaifat crossing, then distribution inside the UAE. Air freight for parcels is faster, and a car needs a day or two more than household goods because of the export paperwork.
This is an approximate schedule from pickup in Tabuk to delivery in each emirate:
| UAE destination | Shipping method | Approximate time |
|---|---|---|
| Abu Dhabi, Al Ain and Al Dhafra | Road via Al Batha and Al Ghuwaifat | 5–7 days |
| Dubai, Sharjah and Ajman | Road via Al Batha, then the Abu Dhabi–Dubai road | 5–7 days |
| Ras Al Khaimah, Umm Al Quwain and Fujairah | Road, then local distribution | 6–8 days |
| A car to any emirate | Car carrier | 6–9 days |
| Urgent parcel | Air | 2–4 days including pickup and clearance |
Delays usually come from outside the road itself: a missing commercial invoice, a mismatch between the packing list and what is in the truck, or a busy border during holidays. That is why we check the paperwork before the truck leaves Tabuk; fixing a document in Tabuk takes an hour, while fixing it at the border can hold the truck for a full day.
The truck route from Tabuk to Al Batha
A truck heading from Tabuk to the UAE takes the northern road through Tayma, Hail and Qassim to Riyadh, then east to Al-Ahsa and south-east to the Al Batha crossing on the UAE border. Tabuk to Riyadh alone is about 1,300 km, and Riyadh to Dubai about 1,060 km, so the whole journey is well over 2,000 km.
This long route is why we pay more attention to packing and securing the load than on short trips. The cargo goes through many hours of vibration and changes in temperature, from Tabuk’s cold winters to the heat of Al-Ahsa and Al Batha. We use closed trucks, strap every piece, put the heaviest items at the bottom and the lighter ones on top, and keep appliances away from pressure points.
At Al Batha the Saudi export declaration is filed and the truck is inspected; it then moves to Al Ghuwaifat, where the UAE import declaration is filed and the truck is inspected again. After Al Ghuwaifat the truck enters the Al Dhafra region of Abu Dhabi, and distribution to Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Sharjah and the other emirates starts from there.
Shipping methods from Tabuk to the UAE
The main way to ship from Tabuk to the UAE is by road in closed trucks, because furniture, cars and goods travel door to door without being unloaded on the way. Air freight suits small and urgent parcels. Sea freight is used only for very large commercial cargo shipped in containers from Jeddah Islamic Port to UAE ports.
Road freight: the practical choice for most shipments
Road freight suits anything with volume: household furniture, cars, shop goods and many boxes. Your shipment is loaded in front of you in Tabuk and unloaded only at your UAE address, and it costs far less than air for anything beyond a few boxes. You can choose shared shipping to save, or book a full truck if you have a lot of items or need a fixed date.
Sea freight: for large commercial cargo only
From Tabuk, the sea is not a shortcut to the UAE, because goods must first be trucked to Jeddah and then sail around the Arabian Peninsula. We do not recommend it for furniture or a single car, but it can suit a trader shipping a full container with no rush. In that case we arrange the haulage to the port, the booking and the clearance.
Air freight from Tabuk to the UAE
Air freight from Tabuk to the UAE suits small parcels, documents, spare parts and anything that cannot wait a week on the road, and usually takes two to four days from pickup to delivery. It goes on available flights from Prince Sultan bin Abdulaziz Airport in Tabuk, or through Riyadh or Jeddah airports, depending on size and space.

Air freight is charged on actual weight or volumetric weight, whichever is higher. Volumetric weight is length × width × height in centimetres divided by 6,000; a 60×40×40 cm box counts as 16 kg even if it really weighs only 7 kg. That is why air does not suit large light items such as pillows and bedding, but works well for small, heavy, valuable things.
- Suitable: official documents, phones and small devices, urgent spare parts, trade samples, a few clothes.
- Not suitable: furniture, large appliances, many boxes, liquids and perfumes in quantity, loose batteries.
- Needed: sender ID, the receiver’s address and UAE mobile number, and an accurate description and value of the contents.
Car shipping from Tabuk to the UAE
We ship cars from Tabuk to the UAE on car carriers, with the car strapped down by its wheels. Prices start from SAR 3,540 for a small car and delivery takes 6 to 9 days. We handle the Saudi export paperwork and explain what the UAE requires to register or bring in the car.

Open or enclosed carrier?
A multi-car open carrier is the economical option and suits most family cars. An enclosed carrier or dedicated flatbed suits luxury, classic or new cars whose owners want them protected from the dust of a long road. Either way, the car is photographed from every side before loading, and the odometer and fuel level are recorded.
Rules for used cars in the UAE
A used car to be registered in Dubai or Abu Dhabi must be no more than 10 years old from its year of manufacture. On import, a 5% customs duty is charged on the value of the car plus freight and insurance, plus 5% VAT, and the car is inspected before registration. A car brought in for temporary use follows different procedures, which we explain before you book.
Car documents on the Saudi side
- The original, valid vehicle registration (istimara) and the owner’s ID or iqama.
- An external authorization from the owner if someone else is shipping or driving the car.
- No outstanding traffic fines, impound or lien on the car.
- Export plates or an export certificate from the traffic department for a permanent export.
If you will drive your own car to the UAE, a valid registration, licence and insurance covering the UAE are usually enough, and we ship your belongings separately. If you need a customs pass for a temporary crossing, see our triptyque issuing service.
For full details on carriers and export types, see the car shipping page.
Commercial cargo and parcels from Tabuk
We ship commercial goods from Tabuk to the UAE as part loads starting from SAR 745, or as full trucks for larger quantities, with the export declaration and clearance at Al Batha and Al Ghuwaifat. The service suits shop owners, farms, small factories and online sellers in Tabuk.
The Tabuk region is known for its farms and its vegetables, fruit and flowers, and these shipments have their own rules: fresh produce needs a phytosanitary certificate and a refrigerated truck, and packed dates need clear labels and a packing date. Before booking we tell you what the UAE requires for each product, so the goods do not get stuck at the border.
Small personal parcels are grouped in a shared shipment starting from SAR 140, which suits sending gifts, clothes or things a family member left behind after moving to the UAE.
Shared shipping or a full truck from Tabuk?
Shared shipping is cheaper if you have a small or medium amount of belongings; a full truck suits a large home, a lot of goods, or a fixed date that cannot move. The difference is in price and flexibility, not in how the goods are handled: packing, securing and paperwork are the same either way.
With shared shipping your items wait until the UAE-bound truck is full, which can mean a day or two more before leaving Tabuk, but you pay only for the space you use. A full truck leaves on the day you choose and goes straight to your address without delivery stops for other shipments, which matters if you want your furniture to arrive the same week you do.
| Comparison | Shared shipping | Full truck |
|---|---|---|
| Suits | boxes, one or two rooms, small shop goods | a whole house, a villa, large cargo |
| Price | by space, part loads from SAR 745 | full-truck rate: ask for the price by call or WhatsApp |
| Departure | on the next scheduled trip | on the day you set |
| Delivery | as part of a UAE delivery round | directly to your address |
Shipment insurance and what happens if something is damaged
You can ask for insurance covering the declared value of the shipment on the road, and we recommend it for valuable furniture, expensive devices and cars. Insurance is based on the value you write on the list, so put a realistic value on each important item.
Before loading we photograph the large pieces and record their condition, and at delivery the receiver opens the boxes and checks the furniture with our team present. If a scratch or break shows up, it is recorded on the spot with a photo, and we follow up on repair or compensation according to the type of cover. That is why we ask the receiver not to sign for delivery before looking over the items.
Moving furniture from Tabuk and preparing it for a long trip
When moving furniture from Tabuk to the UAE, we dismantle the large pieces, pack each item according to its material, number the boxes and write an inventory, then load and secure the truck. On arrival we reassemble beds and wardrobes in your new home. On a route of more than two thousand kilometres, good packing is the difference between furniture that arrives intact and furniture that arrives scratched.

Wood is wrapped in foam and then stretch film, glass and mirrors go into reinforced cartons or wooden crates, sofas are covered with fabric covers against dirt, and appliance doors are taped shut with moving parts secured. Every box is labelled with the room it belongs to, so the UAE home is easy to set up from day one.
If you are moving your whole home from Tabuk to the UAE, read our detailed guide to furniture moving from Tabuk to the UAE, which covers room and appliance prices, the customs exemption for personal effects, and how inventory and reassembly work.
Required documents and customs clearance
To ship from Tabuk to the UAE you need the sender’s ID or iqama, the receiver’s details in the UAE, a list of contents, and a commercial invoice for goods meant for sale. We prepare the Saudi export declaration at Al Batha and follow the import declaration at Al Ghuwaifat.
| Shipment type | Documents needed |
|---|---|
| Personal belongings and used furniture | passport or ID, the receiver’s UAE residence or visa, a detailed contents list, a clearance authorization |
| Commercial goods | commercial registration, commercial invoice, packing list, certificate of origin when needed, a UAE importer code |
| Car | original registration, owner’s ID, authorization when needed, export certificate for a permanent export |
| Food and farm products | health or phytosanitary certificate, product label, invoice |
Used personal belongings usually enter the UAE without duty after inspection if they are for personal use and not for sale. The GCC unified customs law exempts personal effects and used furniture for someone moving to live in the country for the first time if they arrive within six months, and this exemption does not cover cars. New goods in commercial quantities pay 5% customs duty on their value.
List everything in the boxes honestly, and do not hide unlisted items inside furniture. Any difference between the list and the contents at the border means the truck is opened and delayed, and may mean a fine.
Prohibited and restricted items for the UAE
Flammable materials, gas, fireworks, weapons, narcotics and counterfeit currency cannot be shipped, and medicines, drones, and food and plant products need prior permits. If you are unsure about an item, ask us before packing, not after.
We do not carry cash, valuable jewellery or important original documents inside a road shipment; keep these in your own bag when you travel.

Tabuk districts and governorates we collect from
We collect from every district of Tabuk city and from the region’s governorates: Tayma, Duba, Al Wajh, Umluj, Haql and Al Bad. Pickups in the governorates are scheduled on a set day so the shipment meets the UAE-bound truck without a long wait.
Districts we serve inside Tabuk include Al Muruj, Al Masif, Al Faisaliyah, Al Sulaimaniyah, Al Rawdah, Al Olaya, Al Basatin, Al Muntazah, Al Hudaybah, Al Safa, Al Shifa, Al Nahdah, Abu Sabah, Al Rabiyah and Al Mahrajan. We also collect from residential compounds, warehouses and farms on the edges of the city.
People living on the coast in Duba, Umluj and Al Wajh, and those who have come to work on the region’s large projects, often move between cities, and their road to the UAE passes through Tabuk city or Madinah. So we agree with you on the nearest loading point and arrange the transfer from there to the main truck.
If you are in a governorate far from Tabuk city, book about a week ahead so we can group your shipment with others from the region on one trip and lower your price.

Tips before shipping from Tabuk to the UAE
The most important tip before shipping from Tabuk to the UAE is to book early and prepare an accurate contents list, because on such a long route any mistake at the start costs days at the end.
- Book one to two weeks before you travel, especially before school holidays and the end of contracts.
- Separate what you will carry on the plane or in the car from what will be shipped, and keep documents, gold and cash with you.
- Empty and dry the fridge and washing machine the day before pickup so they do not arrive smelling damp.
- Photograph valuable devices and note their serial numbers before packing.
- Make sure the receiver’s UAE number is correct and answered, as delivery is delayed if we cannot reach them.
- If you are shipping a car, check its age and that it has no outstanding fines before booking.
If you also have family in Jordan, the road from Tabuk to Amman is far shorter than the road to the UAE; see Shipping Company from Tabuk to Jordan.
